The Caliber Armor ULTRA Series RF2 Shield is rigorously tested to provide Level III++ / RF2 protection. Testing ensures comprehensive performance, meeting or exceeding NIJ standards and covering a range of special threats, including:
- 7.62x39mm Surrogate, 123 grain
- 5.56mm M855 BT, 62 grain
- 7.62x51mm M80 Ball, 149 grain
- 5.56mm M193, 56 grain
- DEA and Special Threats: 5.56x45mm M855A1 and 7.62x54R
Testing Conditions:
- Muzzle positioned 50 feet from the target
- 0-degree obliquity impacts
- Velocity measured with infrared screens placed 8.25 feet from the target

Our testing adheres to NIJ-STD-0101.07 RF2 protocols, covering a range of threats and maintaining high standards in shield durability. Unlike many competitors, Caliber Armor tests the entire shield, including bolts and hardware, for complete reliability.
